Read the unemployment guidesUnderstand the unemployment issue
Start with the unemployment guide or claim issue guides. Identify the issue named on your notice and use the matching checklist.
Follow official agency instructions
Use the agency named on your claim or notice. Read requests and deadlines in the agency’s verified account or correspondence. USAGov’s unemployment page provides state-agency starting points. Using this website does not submit anything to an agency.
Need food or housing now?
For an immediate need, use USAGov’s emergency food resources or emergency housing resources. Availability must be checked with the actual provider. You can also read our food assistance guide and housing and utility guide.
For a correction or general site question, see Contact & Corrections. That email channel is not a professional-help request service.
